Blooms: Late Spring. Self-pollinating, but will produce the best crop with a cross-pollinator. Fruit color: Dark reddish to black. Medium sized fruit. Harvest July to early August.  Featuring a sweet, mild-flavored flesh, the juicy interiors are a bright orange-apricot color with a freestone pit. If looking for the optimal plum for canning or drying the French Prune Plum is a wonderful choice.
