Our Little Spuds program is for the burgeoning gardener ages 4 to 10.  Classes are $5 each or $45

for all 10 classes. This year we have expanded to include two sessions each day. For more info or to

Create your own event!  Personalized container design workshops are available throughout the season to groups of 10 or more. Use of facility, soil and instruction are complimentary for your session. If you are interested in reserving time for your garden club, group or organization, please call the nursery to make arrangements.

7/31   Saturday 10 - 2  Landscape Clinic - Sign up for this informative one-on-one 20 minute consultation with a designer to discuss your garden and landscape. Call to sign up for a specific slot between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm. Note: Your consultation will be most successful if you bring materials with you such as pictures, thumb-nail sketch, plant lists, plat of survey, sun exposure or any ideas of gardens you may have seen that you like! No Charge.

August:

8/12 Thursday - 9:00-3:30 - Bus Trip to Trudi Temple's Sustainable Farm. Trudi will give us a guided tour of her 70-acre farm in northern Illinois. She'll share with us her story of the farm's creation and her permaculture gardens. Join us for a rare opportunity to visit this wonderful place! You are sure to be inspired. Space is limited. Please call to reserve your seat. Cost is $35 (Bring your own sack lunch.) or $44 (Includes box lunch.)

      3:30 -Return to the nursery.

November:

11/20   Saturday - Pot O’ Greens Holiday Decorations Workshops. Cost: $35-$65 depending on materials and class selection. 10am-11am: Wreaths 12-1pm: Centerpieces 2pm-3pm: Containers

November/December:

11/26-28 and 12/4, 5, 11, 12 - Christmas Tree Cutting and Holiday Greens Sale. 9 am to 4 pm. Bring the whole family out and start a new holiday tradition. Enjoy a complimentary hay ride to Christmas Tree Hill followed by a hot cup of cocoa by the warming fire. Saws provided. Also available for purchase, hand-made evergreen roping, boughs, wreaths and more. No Appointment Necessary!

This year hosting Blackberry Ridge Potters Holiday Open House and Pottery Sale, 11/26-28 from 10 am to 4 pm. Demonstrations, refreshments & drawings. Meet the artists. Pottery will be available for sale.
